Connect

WarNet connect is used to connect war notifications for a certain alliance to the channel.

Command Structure

/connect [type] [alliance-name] optional: [channel] [counter-names]
  • [type] The type of notifications you wish to receive, select from the dropdown one of the following options

    • offensive: use this to receive notifications when the specified alliance declares a war.

    • defensive: use this to receive notifications when the specified alliance gets attacked.

    • defensive+counters: use this instead of defensive to be able to to also specify which alliances should the automatically generated counters be sourced from.

  • [alliance-name] Type the name of the alliance you wish to connect, it doesn't have to be exact, for example to select "The Ampersand," the word "amper" would be just fine.

  • [channel] This is optional, you can select a different channel to have these notifications go to. The default is the channel you are currently in.

  • [counter-names] Required if you use the defensive+counters type option. Do the same as you did with the alliance name but comma seperate them like this "amper, immortals, etc." These will be used in counter calculations for a defensive war on this alliance.

You have to run this command multiple times with both types to subscribe to both offensive and defensive notifications.

Usage

To get offensive notifications use /connect offensive [alliance-name], using something roughly similar to the actual alliance name that you'd like to monitor for wars. The same can be done with defensive notifications, except you replace the type with defensive. If you want counters, just use defensive+counters and specify comma separated alliance names in the optional parameter counter-names.

Examples

You can't copy and paste these, instead use the slash commands interface.

Offensive notifications example for The Ampersand

/connect type: offensive alliance-name: ampersand

Defensive counters example for The Ampersand as the alliance to get defensive notifications for, and then counters from The Ampersand and The Lost Legion.

/connect type: defensive+counters alliance-name: ampersand counter-names: ampersand, lost legion
